Although the Sochi Olympic games technically begin on February 6th, the opening ceremony will take place on February 7th. While most might celebrate the Olympics by watching the opening ceremony and the games themselves, why only do that when you can celebrate them by dressing up and dancing around?
You can start out by wearing your team’s colors and then make a laurel wreath crown, using a paper plate and construction paper, to wear. Once you are dressed up, create a ribbon wand you can wave around any time your team competes.
How will you celebrate? Will you be planning an Olympic-themed party or simply watch the games that interest you?

I can’t wait to watch them either! Hockey is our favorite sport in the Winter Olympics! 🙂
