Wash Your Hands!!

Even with the sixth graders, I had to constantly emphasize that the kids needed to wash their hands.  Especially after using the bathroom–yuck!!  Often sicknesses would spread through the classroom at lightning speed and it was because the students didn’t realize that germs were passed on papers, pencils, desks and anything else they touched.    An Exaltation of Larks has a great idea for teaching kids about germs and the importance of washing hands with a little cinnamon.  Brilliant!! If only I’d have come across this idea when I was teaching!!
