A lot of time in the early grades is spent teaching kids math facts, because they are the basis for more complicated math they will learn later on.
If they can quickly and correctly answer basic addition and subtraction (and, later, multiplication and division) problems, that will make it easier for them to perform more complex math problems later, and give them confidence that comes with a grounding in the basics.
Some kids struggle with basic math facts and need to learn them in different ways. These printable math games from the Measured Mom are a great way for kids to play with math and learn those basic addition facts at the same time.
The great thing about these is that you just print and play, there’s no other prep required.
