My Montessori Journey posted a really great demonstration for kids who are learning about the body-specifically the parts of blood. She uses wonderful visual aids to teach about plasma, red blood cells, white blood cells and the other components that make up your blood. I think kids would really be interested in this!
Once the teacher was finished demonstrating, groups of students could make their own blood using the same ingredients for a hands on learning activity.
