If you are teaching young kids about apples, I highly suggest making them a sensory bin, like this amazing one put together by Rachel from I {heart} Craftsy Things.
She started off by pouring some dried black beans into a plastic bin. She then added some small red and green fake apples and some homemade apple trees (the tress are made using craft foam, toilet paper rolls, pom-poms, and velcro). Don’t forget to add a small spoon and tongs! Rachel also included a book titled Ten Red Apples.
If you want to make your own apple sensory bin, follow these directions.
