This is a great activity for any child who could use some work on handling a pen or pencil, recognizing and matching colors, or simply if they could use some work on fine motor skills. When Jamie from Hands on as We Grow first came up with this connect-the-dot activity for her preschooler, she used different colors for the dots simply because she wanted it to look fun, but then she discovered that her son enjoyed the extra challenge of connecting the dots of the same color.
If you child isn’t quite old enough to recognize numbers, this Beginner Connect the Dots for Preschoolers is a great activity for them.
