Variations on classic games are so much fun to help kids learn.
This periodic table version of Battleship is a great one, and I just came across a sight word Battleship game with a pirate theme from Liz’s Early Learning Spot that kids are sure to love.
They write their sight words on the board, then the other person tries to guess where the words are located, just like in the classic Battleship game.
The object of the game is to sink the sight words, which helps kids learn the words (and numbers at the same time). How fun! You can download the boards and learn more at her website.
