Cursive is normally introduced as a skill in the third grade. One of the first words that a child learns to write in cursive is his or her name. I am loving this art project from Blissful Kids using basic school supplies–paper, glue, markers, paint–to create a creature from the child’s cursive name! It would be a fabulous review activity for a handwriting lesson. And they would look awesome hung around the classroom!!See the full post, with step-by-step instructions for creating your own here.
