I’ve already shared a bunch of pumpkin learning activities, but this one is great, too, so I wanted to make sure to include it.
The free pumpkin investigations printable from the STEM Laboratory is an easy way for you and your kids to make predictions and measure a small pumpkin.
It includes guessing how tall and how big around the pumpkin is, how much it weighs and whether it sinks or floats (clearly these need to be small pumpkins that kids can manipulate easily).
There’s a place for kids to write words describing the pumpkin. You could also have them draw a picture of the pumpkin.
This is such a fun science activity for this time of year.
Do you use pumpkins in learning activities? I’d love to hear about it.
