There are lots of educational resources out there for teaching kids about the coronavirus and what they need to do to keep safe when going back to school or seeing their friends in other settings, but it’s always great when you can get information from reputable sources that is geared toward kids.
BrainPOP recently shared an interview with Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, in which he talked about how kids can keep safe, how to talk to parents about making good choices, what a vaccine does and what gives him hope about the current crisis.
There’s also a silly bit where they quiz him on his life, which the kids might also enjoy.
Teachers can use the video in class or parents at home to start a discussion about making good choices and the importance of all of us working together until we have a vaccine available for everyone.
