Recognizing letters is an important activity to help kids get ready for learning to read, and there are a lot of fun and easy ways to get kids interested in playing with letters.
These letter recognition activity ideas from Planning Playtime don’t take a lot of time to set up and you may already have the materials you need, from ping pong balls and muffin papers to paper cups and building blocks.
There are also a couple of printable activities here you can use to support learning letters in a fun way.
This post also talks about drawing in sugar (you can use salt as well), which is a fun activity for pretty much any age that can be used for writing practice or just for fun.
Do you have any activities you love for getting little ones paying attention to letters? I’d love to hear about them!
