Combine learning about color mixing with making a fun Mother’s Day project with this idea from The Educator’s Spin on It.
When I first saw it I thought this was done with tape resist, but it’s actually a printable you can cut out and tape to the paper before kids paint.
Experiment with using watercolors, dot markers, regular markers, regular paint or other media to see how the colors mix. Work on it alongside reading a book about colors (she talks about Mouse Paint in the post, which is a really cute one) or just leave the supplies in the art area for kids to explore for themselves.
Check out all the details and grab the printable at The Educator’s Spin on It.
