Have you seen the Montessori wall map and quiet book over at Imagine Our Life? They’re lovely projects that, yes, will take a lot of work, but you’ll be able to use them for years in a lot of different ways.
For instance, she added felt ocean animals that can just be played with, used to match with printable cards or play animals or incorporated into a unit study about the oceans or animals.
I love everything about this project, and there are many pages on her site where you can delve into the whole project. But these animals would be a great place to start, especially if you have a kid who loves ocean animals. They’d also be super cute as magnets to use on a white board or to play with in the kitchen.
