Kids often go through a mystery phase where they love stories with a bit of suspense and clues they need to follow to solve a mystery. My daughter has been in this phase for a few years now and I’m sure she would love to explore fingerprints with these ideas from Edverntures with Kids.
They tried taking fingerprints using playdough and lots of other ways and compared different fingerprints among members of the family.
You could do this in a classroom, too, and have each child do two fingerprints and see if they can figure out which two go with the same child.
Check out her post for all the details on different ways to take fingerprints and what they learned.
