Helping kids learn about money is important, both from a math standpoint and for the life skills involved in being able to count money, make change and evaluate how much things cost.
But you might now want kids playing with your actual money and credit cards in case they go missing in the bottom of the play purse or wherever else they might end up, so these printable bills, “coins,” credit card and wallet are a great alternative.
Kids Activities Blog has the printables and instructions for putting the wallet together.
You can use this in so many ways, from basic counting to setting up a store pretend play, sorting different denominations and making change.
How do you play with money (real or otherwise) with kids? I’d love to hear your ideas.
