My daughter is almost seven and she’s really interested in learning math facts. We were talking about multiplication yesterday and she can already skip count by 2, 5, 10 and a little bit by 3, which is really the beginning of learning multiplication.
I found these free printable skip counting posters from the STEM Laboratory and I think I’m going to have to print them out for her. They show the number you are counting by with the different numbers in order (so a big 2 with the numbers 2, 4, 6, 8, and so on).
A second set for numbers 7 through 10 is also available; both are free but require an email address to download.
How do you practice skip counting with kids. I would love to hear your ideas!
