Skeletons are everywhere this time of year, so why not use them to foster a bit of learning beyond singing “The Skeleton Dance”?
These instructions for making an articulated skeleton hand are a little complex for younger kids, but grade school kids can probably make them with adult help, and later grades could do them on their own (it could even be an engineering challenge for older kids to see if they can figure out how to do it with the provided materials).
The items needed are mostly pretty basic and you might have them on hand unless you really want to stick to the black and white color scheme.
This is a fun project to make and to play with while talking about how real hands work to move, grasp objects and all the other great things they do for us every day.
