Doesn’t that just sound impressive? Bioplastic is a fancy word for a plastic substance that’s made using materials that came from something alive (thus bio).
STEAM Powered Family first made bioplastic using milk, which is super interesting, but they’ve also used gelatin to make bioplastic Christmas ornaments.
These look really cool with the lights from the tree shining through them (just like gelatin you’d eat, they’re sort of see-through).
It’s a pretty simple process but does require some patience — about a week start to finish for best results.
