This is really cool. I had never heard of butterfly pea flowers before reading this post about color-changing lemonade from Left Brain Craft Brain, but apparently they’re a thing and you can use them to turn your lemonade all sorts of brilliant colors.
I don’t know about you, but I want to do this, like, right now. Even though my kid isn’t home.
The key is a pigment in the flower that changes color with the pH of the liquid it is in, so you can make liquids ranging from blue to purple to pink. And it changes color as you stir. So fun!
