Making salt crystals is really easy, though it does take some time, and it’s a great activity to teach kids about evaporation and the formation of crystals. Add it to your water cycle unit or just do it any time you want to do a little kitchen science.
You already have all the materials you need to make salt crystals, and this post from Science Sparks tells you all about how to do it.
You can even make them different colors if you want by adding food coloring.
Head to her blog for all the details and an explanation of how it works.
