It isn’t quite time to move from pumpkins to turkeys, but I really like this practical life activity turkey from Natural Beach Living.
This Montessori-inspired project involves buttoning feathers onto a turkey and is a great way to practice using buttons, which is a practical life skill as well as great practice for fine-motor skills.
It’s also a fun fall project that you can keep out for the next couple of months.

I feel like I’ve been writing a lot (and thinking a lot) about things that you can do inside when it’s too hot to consider going outside to play, but when you get those nice days (or if you’re already planning things to do when it’s a little cooler out) you need to be ready to take advantage.
