When my daughter was little, I think I remember letting her play with a keyboard that wasn’t attached to a computer so she could pretend to type.
But I love this idea of making a play laptop out of cardboard for kids to play with and to help them learn their letters and the position of the letters on the keyboard.
Those of us who have laptops have kids who are fascinated by them, so why not give them their own?
This is pretty easy to put together, and I love the added dimension of writing out simple words for them to “type” on their computers. It really helps with early spelling, letter recognition and beginning typing skills.
