Corn is in season now through the fall so now and for the next few months would be a good time to use corn in a science project.
Little Bins for Little Hands has a great experiment where students learn how to make corn dance, which includes making a hypothesis about what might allow the corn to dance in a liquid, talking about why some things dissolve in water and the reaction that causes the corn to dance in the jar.
Head to her website for all the details and make this a fun entry into chemistry for your kids or a science challenge for the Thanksgiving table.
