Here’s another company that’s offering some free educational content for our kids in these weird times. Mystery Science has a selection of its video science lessons for kids from kindergarten through grade five available for free.
You can use them without creating an account or providing an email address, and there’s a nice variety of topics including things like why do we get hiccups, why are polar bears white, could you build a house out of paper, can animals get sunburn, could a mountain turn into a volcano and how deep is the ocean, to name a few.
There are both mini lessons that are a15 to 30 minutes for when you just need a little something to fill time, as well as full lessons of 45 to 90 minutes including an activity for kids to do.
Both parents and teachers can also sign up for free accounts to see more than 200 lessons per grade if they need more science lessons for their kiddos.
