There are lots of different ways to explore gratitude and make crafts related to things we are thankful for, but I thought this gratitude game from Teach Beside Me was an interesting way to talk about being grateful for the things in our lives as well.
It uses different colored pick up sticks (hers are painted wooden chopsticks) and when a person picks that color they have to list something they are grateful for in a particular category (such as a person, place or thing).
This is a fun DIY game you can play with a group of kids at school (who may have to be intorduced to the concept of pick up sticks) or with the family while the turkey cooks.
Do you have special ways to express gratitude in your family or classroom for Thanksgiving? I’d love to hear about them!
