When kids are learning to write and to spell, it’s helpful for them to see and work with words in lots of different ways.
This idea for using “magic paint” on the sidewalk from Gift of Curiosity is a great one to use during the summer or whenever the weather is warm.
You can have kids write their names and other sight words on the sidewalk, or start by writing the words you want them to practice in chalk and they can “paint” over them.
This is a quick, easy, no prep activity you can add to your outdoor water play or use as a way to get kids learning while they are outside.
