Carolyn, from The Pleasantest Thing, created this game so her kids could practice letter recognition and counting; and, while it does do these two things, it does much more. You can also use this game as a great way for kids to work on fine motor skills and gross motor skills. Obviously, having kids run around is a great way to work their large muscles. You can even set up the game so the kids have to work their way around/over/through obstacles. To work on fine motor skills, Carolyn suggests giving the kids clothespins to stick the number cards together.
