I know it’s been spring for a little while already, but when the weather starts warming I feel like we should just keep celebrating that with all the spring activities and projects. These spring printables will give you some easy ideas for things to do at home or in the classroom.
If the weather is nice, go on a bug hunt with this printable from The Soccer Mom Blog. These are all insects that should be pretty easy for kids to find in the backyard or at the park. Want to learn more about bugs? Check out my post all about bees!
You can plant actual flowers, or you can play at planting flowers with this playdough activity from Fun with Mama. It uses the flower TOOB, which doesn’t seem to be available on Amazon, but these flowers are similar enough that you can still use her printables.
The printable worksheet pack from Kool Kids Games includes the life cycle of a butterfly, symmetry drawing, shadow matching, color by word family, counting, cutting practice, word sounds and more. It’s aimed at kids ages 3-7, and you can download it when you enter your email address on their site.
Practice tracing (words and images) and coloring pictures with these printables from Itsy Bitsy Fun. Images include a daisy, tulip, bouquet of flowers and a butterfly, each with the word written underneath to trace.
Speaking of flowers, Homeschool Giveaways has a printable parts of a flower worksheet (one with word back and one without), a build a flower page and a life cycle of a flower flip book printable. These would be great to add to a unit study on flowers or pollinators.
Life with Mama has a printable book for little ones to read, count and color that includes spring images, different color names and counting from one to ten.
And if you need some printables for early finishers, to keep in your art area or just to have something fun for a rainy day, check out the spring dot to dot pages from In the Playroom, spring color by number printables from The Typical Mom, and more dot to dot projects from 1 plus 1 plus 1 equals 1.
