One of the first things we often do when teaching kids to write is to have them learn how to write their name. There are lots of ways to make recognizing and learning the letters of your name more fun, but I like this tactile name writing project from Preschool Inspirations.
It isn’t no prep because it involves glitter glue, but once the glue has dried its a simple activity for kids to use to literally get a feel for the letters in their name and to practice them from memory.
You could of course do all sorts of tactile letter projects, such as making them with pipe cleaners, cutting them out of different kinds of fabric or whatever fun stuff you have on hand to make letter learning a sensory experience.
