Are you familiar with this story/song? It was one of my favorites when I was young and also when my kids were young. While there are many activities you can come up with for this story, I would encourage you to check out this ideas posted by Tammy on Housing a Forest.
First of all, she created an ‘Old Lady’ by recycling a syrup bottle that was shaped like a lady. To create all of the things the old lady ate, she used alphabet beads and chenille stems. The kids can thread the letters of each swallowed item onto a chenille stem and then slip them into the ‘Old Lady’ as they read through the story.
