I feel really lucky that my daughter goes to a school where homework is not a priority. The kids have to study for tests from time to time outside of school, but on a daily basis there isn’t homework.
I know there will come a time when we both have to face that after-school work, and I know there will be days when it is tempting to just do it rather than to help her work through it, which of course is the wrong approach.
I liked these tips on how to help kids with their homework without doing it for them from Organized 31. It takes a lot of patience on both your parts as well as planning, time and dedication, but it is certainly worth it in the end if you can help kids to see that homework is important and help them with less of a struggle on all your parts.
Do you have any homework helping tips? I’d love to hear them.
