Counting and number games are a fun way to help kids learn numbers, counting and addition. This Roll It, Write It, Count It mat printable from Frugal Fun for Boys and Girls would be a great addition to a math center or an activity to keep on hand to play with your kid.
Sarah says this one is perfect for older preschoolers through first grade, and it’s super simple to set up.
Just print out her mat (laminate for reuse if you like), grab some dice, a marker and things to count.
The child will roll the dice, count up the number, write it down, then count out that many objects. You can also have them spell out the number word if they’re old enough for that.
This looks like such a great learning game, and I’ll bet my first grader would love it, too. Check it out if you have or teach kids that age!
