If you’re of a certain age you probably remember Where in the World is Carmen Sandeigo? the crime-fighting, globe-trotting video game turned TV game show of the 1980s and 1990s.
(There’s also a card game version I bought my daughter and we played exactly once. She didn’t find it as fun as I did.)
Now you can gumshoe your way around the world via Google Earth with a delightfully retro yet high-tech version of the game. Someone has stolen the Crown Jewels and you need to travel to London, Tokyo and beyond (I won’t spoil it for you) to find the culprit.
Click the link above to get started, or you can navigate to Google Earth on a device and click on the Carmen icon.
It’s a few minutes of fun that might help your kids learn a little bit about landmarks of the world.
