So my 13 year old recently went on a school camp for 5 weeks and one of the things they had to do was cook for themselves. Of course for lots of children this was a brand new concept which got me wondering about the good old days where Home economics was a required class in high school and yes, you could fail it. So what about all those kids who do not go away on camp? Are they learning to cook too? Check out this home ec style book I found on Amazon, so that you can fill in the Home economics gap with your children at home. You can read more about this book here.
I feel like I’ve been writing a lot (and thinking a lot) about things that you can do inside when it’s too hot to consider going outside to play, but when you get those nice days (or if you’re already planning things to do when it’s a little cooler out) you need to be ready to take advantage.
