So my 13 year old recently went on a school camp for 5 weeks and one of the things they had to do was cook for themselves. Of course for lots of children this was a brand new concept which got me wondering about the good old days where Home economics was a required class in high school and yes, you could fail it. So what about all those kids who do not go away on camp? Are they learning to cook too? Check out this home ec style book I found on Amazon, so that you can fill in the Home economics gap with your children at home. You can read more about this book here.
A lot of kids aren’t in school for the Fourth of July, but whether you’re in a classroom or at home, you’ll probably want to mark July 4, 2026, in a special way because it is America’s 250th birthday. And there are lots of ways to learn and celebrate, as we’ll see below.
