I love making collages with children – especially when you use a variety of different mediums. Their creativity can just be amazing when you give them a suggestions and a handful of supplies.
The flowers here are attached to a piece of cardboard cut from a cereal box and then accordion-folded so it would stand on its own. The flower stems are created using a variety of items such as straws. chenille stems, felt, paper, and craft foam. The flowers were simple shapes cut from watercolor paper. They drew designs using crayons and then used watercolor paints and I love the effect!
