I love this idea for introducing basic addition concepts to kids with a bit of art included.
This addition clouds activity from Preschool Play and Learn is a fun way to work with numbers with little kids.
Put basic addition equations in the clouds and kids can answer them by making raindrops with fingerpaint underneath. As you work with these you can talk about one to one correspondence and counting up, which are great basic concepts for learning math.
Head to the blog to get all the details.

Knowing the alphabet is the basis for learning how to read, so it’s important to get it down. Kids need to know the differences between letters, to be able to recognize their shapes and to know what sounds the letters make individually before they can start combining them in words.
