Apples are a fun theme in the fall because they are everywhere in the stores and also a symbol of school. So many bloggers have made apple themed projects, printables and activities, you could do an apple theme in the classroom for weeks!
Here are a few great sources from printable apple activities.
A Dab of Glue Will Do has a set of apple alphabet matching cards, which you use to match the upper case and lower case letter for each letter of the alphabet. This is a free printable.
Simple Fun for Kids offers a printable read, trace and connect worksheet with basic fall words to trace and connect to a picture of the thing (apple, tree, flower, etc.) They did a seven days of apple themed printables series, so check out the whole series here if you need more apple content.
Practice counting and associating numbers with their number words with this printable activity from Growing Book by Book. It goes with a book called Ten Red Apples, but you can use it with any apple-themed reading or unit study.
From ABCs to SATs has a great collection of apple themed activities and printables, including do a dot printables, sight word matching, a printable apple life cycle book, pattern matching, apple seed counting, cutting practice and more. These are great for preschool and kindergarten kiddos.
Fluffy Tots has a nice collection of apple printables, too, which includes number puzzles, counting activities and more (and a few free and a few paid options).
Speaking of pattern completion, there’s another printable on that theme from Tot Schooling that has kids continue the color pattern with dot markers (you could use regular markers or crayons if you don’t have dot markers handy).
If you’re willing to pay a bit for your activities, I found a couple of Montessori printable sets, from Montessori Nature and Montessori Inspired Printables, which include three-part cards, life cycle information and more.
