I love this idea for an individual kid to make or as a collaborative art project that could be set up in a classroom.
This cardboard box town from Mini Mad Things involves gathering a lot of different boxes (and turning them inside out if you’re super fancy) and then letting kids design the buildings and different accessories like ladders, street signs and other decor.
It turns out really cute and I love that even once the buildings have been decorated you can take them down and rearrange them in different ways.

When my daughter was younger she had a ton of LEGO bricks, and I’m honestly a little sad we got rid of most of them because there are so many fun things to do with LEGOs outside of the kits you bought them in.
