Celebrate Canada Day with a Free Printable Bingo Game

June 28, 2020 by Sarah White Leave a Comment

July 1 is Canada Day, and whether you’re Canadian or just looking for a fun excuse to celebrate, it’s the perfect opportunity to bring a little red and white into your summer plans. Even if you don’t live in Canada, Canada Day can be a fun warm-up for Fourth of July celebrations in the U.S. – think of it as a double dose of festive fun!

One of the easiest (and cutest!) ways to get kids involved is with this free printable Canada Day Bingo game from Living Life and Learning. It’s colorful, educational, and full of iconic Canadian images that spark curiosity and conversation.

What’s on the Bingo Cards?

The printable bingo set is filled with Canadian symbols and treasures, making it more than just a game – it’s a mini cultural lesson. Kids will get to recognize and talk about:

  • Mounties – Canada’s famous red-coated Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
  • Moose and bears – wildlife that Canada is known for.
  • Maple leaves and syrup tapping – iconic symbols of the country.
  • Canadian coins and the flag – fun ways to explore money and national pride.
  • Snowy owls, polar bears, and geese – more creatures kids love spotting on the cards.

These images are bright, fun, and instantly recognizable, making the game enjoyable for kids of all ages (and pretty entertaining for adults, too).

Why Play Canada Day Bingo?

Bingo is a great classroom or family activity because it’s:

  • Simple to set up – just print and play.
  • Perfect for groups – great for school, camp, or family gatherings.
  • Educational – sneak in learning while the kids are having fun.
  • Reusable – laminate the cards and use them year after year.

Plus, it’s an interactive way to keep kids busy during a long holiday weekend while still feeling festive.

How to Use It

  • Print out the cards and calling pieces from Living Life and Learning.
  • Cut out the cards, grab some bingo chips or coins, and get ready to play.
  • First one to line up a row, column, or full card gets to yell “BINGO!” (or maybe “CANADA!” for the day).

Where to Get the Free Printable

Head over to Living Life and Learning to grab your free Canada Day bingo cards. Print a set for your kids, your classroom, or even your Canada Day barbecue guests – it’s guaranteed to get everyone laughing and learning together.

America 250 Fourth of July Activities for Kids

A lot of kids aren’t in school for the Fourth of July, but whether you’re in a classroom or at home, you’ll probably want to mark July 4, 2026, in a special way because it is America’s 250th birthday. And there are lots of ways to learn and celebrate, as we’ll see below.

The Homeschool Bee has a big bundle of resources for the big day, including timelines, information about the founding fathers, silly word fill ins, pages showing the evolution of the American flag and information on constitutional amendments. In all it is 35 pages and it’s great for a variety of ages. You can find it on Teachers Pay Teachers.

Another printable activity set, this one aimed at grades 2-5, is available on TpT from George Kipriot Classroom Resources. This one includes a word search, crossword puzzle, maze, word scramble, coloring pages and more, plus a timeline and reading about the Declaration of Independence.

It wouldn’t be a birthday party without party hats, and there are a few different versions of print, color and cut party hats with a patriotic theme at Teachers Pay Teachers. The Internet Research Project has a set with an Uncle Sam kind of hat, a crown with the Statue of Liberty on it and one that says America 250.

There’s also a Happy Birthday America hat from Sweet Sensations, which features the years, fireworks and the Statue of Liberty and declaration of Independence.

You can find a lot of Fourth of July coloring pages with a 250th birthday theme. For example Britts Digital Paper Co on Etsy has some cute pages, including a patriotic goose reading a book for some reason (I also like their printable firework craft). eParenting also has an America 250 coloring page that includes the shape of the country and an American flag.

And if you want to try some more general Fourth of July projects, check out this collection of patriotic STEM activities from Homeschool Giveaways. Make your own “fireworks,” sensory activities, make a fizzy flag, build a graham cracker White House and more.
