Do your kids get excited about shark week? I know a lot of people really love this special week of shark-themed programming, and if nothing else it’s a good time to share some fun shark-related learning activities with your kids.
Growing Book by Book has a fun and easy to put together shark sight words activity for use with the book Shark in the Park.
Free Homeschool Deals has a great collection of Shark Week links, including their free printable shark themed alphabet and number wall cards. There are coloring pages and printables, links to books, games, crafts and more.
The Homeschool Scientist has a ton of shark links, too, everything from shark facts and printables to unit studies, math-themed work and more. There’s even a link to a shark tracker where you can see where real sharks are any time. (So cool!)
Living Montessori Now has a great roundup of Shark Week activities with a Montessori twist, which delves into other ocean animals, too, if you want to do a full-on ocean unit study while you’re at it.
Homeschool Share has a printable shark lapbook full of facts about sharks, information cards and more.
Royal Baloo has a great shark printable pack, too.
Do you do anything special for Shark Week? I’d love to hear what you’re planning!
