This is definitely not a beginner project, but it’s so cool I couldn’t resist sharing it.
The Maker Mom has step-by-step instructions for making a power gems mining game modeled on Operation.
The back of the board is covered with aluminum foil so when the edges of the holes are touched by conductive tweezers, an LED light is illuminated.
The project requires a little wiring work and some soldering, so it should be completed by a parent or an older child with close supervision. But it would definitely be worth the effort to have this fun DIY game to play.
And of course you can make it a different theme depending on what you child is into.
