I’
ve loved lapbooks for a long time, but mainly I’ve seen them for younger children. Learning letters, shapes, sequencing, etc. So I was excited to find printable pages for a lap book designed with older students in mind for the picture book Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs by Judi Barrett from Homeschool Share.
This lapbook includes pages about weather, compound words, compare and contrast, recycling and more!! A great resource for classroom teachers and homeschooling parents.
Find all of the printable pages here.
Knowing the alphabet is the basis for learning how to read, so it’s important to get it down. Kids need to know the differences between letters, to be able to recognize their shapes and to know what sounds the letters make individually before they can start combining them in words.
A great find! I love this book, as does my 5-year-old. I even made some felt food to go along with the book.
