The basics of code are pretty easy for kids to understand. It’s just directions where a certain thing happens and something else might happen if certain conditions exist.
Using these basics, Research Parent made an amazing Lego maze coding game that allows kids to “program” how a character would successfully move through a maze.
It offers suggestions for different levels of difficulty based on the age of your kids, and looks like a really fun way to get the basics of what a computer code does and how it works structurally even away from the computer.
