I love Lego building challenges, and kids who are into Legos enjoy using challenge cards to decide what to make or to build in a little extra storytelling into their creations.
The disaster island prompt from Lego Librarian has kids build a desert island then draw a challenge card for the disaster that has befallen the person stranded on the island. Then they need to build what is on the card to help them.
For example, save yourself from a hurricane, protect yourself from zombies, build yourself a vehicle so you don’t have to walk everywhere.
These ideas are fun to make and will get kids talking about what they might do if they were stuck on an island.
