An algorithm is just a set of instructions that need to be done in order to achieve a desired result. It’s really basic coding without a computer, too!
Her post has the printable and an explanation of how to use it, as well as a fun collection of books about astronauts and space if you want to extend the activity into storytime. There’s a version with instructions included and one where kids can write their own, which would be fun if you have more than one kid — one can be the “programmer” and the other can execute the program (or you can do it with your child).
