I think when I was younger I did this experiment with a regular sized piece of paper, but it’s even more amazing when you discover that you can actually walk through a loop made by an index card.
Mess for Less has all the details on how to make the cuts in the card to make it big enough to stand in or walk through. You might want to practice it once or twice before you try to do it in front of kids, because it is a little tricky.

This just brought a flood of memories back to me. My third grade teacher did this to our class, almost 60 years ago. She asked if she could fit someone in an index card. Of course we all said no. We found out otherwise. She read to us everyday after lunch and would them have a “puzzle” for us to solve. This was one of them. She was one of the best.
