Using books as a theme for circle time is a lot of fun, and when it’s Seuss week it’s especially interesting.
Mrs. A’s Room shares a bunch of great ideas for using Green Eggs and Ham in various preschool activities, including circle time, songs, games and more.
Some of these ideas you can adapt on your own, or she has resources for sale in her Teachers Pay Teachers store, where you can also grab the Green Eggs and Ham Snap game for circle time for free. Those letters on green eggs would be fun for lots of learning activities this time of year!

Knowing the alphabet is the basis for learning how to read, so it’s important to get it down. Kids need to know the differences between letters, to be able to recognize their shapes and to know what sounds the letters make individually before they can start combining them in words.
I don’t believe that animal parts should be used in teaching children. Eggs are part of a chickens reproductive cycle and Ham is obtained from a living sentient animal too. How can we teach children compassion for other living sentient beings if we are using their body parts in games. There are plenty of alternatives.
I LOVE THIS!!! I wouldn’t listen too much to the comment above. Some people are just wacko!
