I’m in the part of the United States that is covered in snow right now, and while I’d say it’s too cold to play outside (it was -18 this morning!) kids often don’t agree with adults on when it’s suitable to go outside into the snow.
If you need a fun activity to do outside in the snow, why not make snow paint?
It’s actually super simple to do with food coloring, as you can see in this recipe from Premeditated Leftovers.
If you have liquid watercolors it’s even easier because you can just use them in squeeze bottles.
Check the website for all the details of how to make and use snow paint.
I hope you’re staying warm if you’re in a cold place!

When my daughter was younger she had a ton of LEGO bricks, and I’m honestly a little sad we got rid of most of them because there are so many fun things to do with LEGOs outside of the kits you bought them in.
