This is such a fun idea for kids who can spell and are learning about the parts of speech (or already know them).
Instead of playing Scrabble in the regular way, where players can make any word they have the letters for, Amy at Planning Playtime decided to try Adjective Scrabble, where only that part of speech was allowed.
She says her almost second-grader learned a lot about what an adjective is while playing the game, but even kids who already know their parts of speech would benefit from the extra challenge of parts of speech Scrabble.

Several countries have a day set aside to honor and recognize their inventors, but Nov. 9 is a special one that’s known as Tag der Erfinder in German. It’s celebrated in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and it falls on Nov. 9 because that’s the birthday of Hedy Lamarr.
